Compare GI job offers
Enter up to three offers, or start from a job on the board. The calculator shows what each offer is worth after state tax and local prices, and what each contract still leaves unsaid. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Buying power = base plus bonus after state tax, divided by the state price level (BEA, US = 100); it leaves out the sign-on bonus. Federal tax, FICA, local city or county taxes, benefits, and retirement matching are not included. The state tax walk uses published brackets only: Connecticut and New York take back part of the lower brackets from high earners, and Alabama lets you deduct federal income tax, so those three estimates are rough. PSLF: 501(c)(3) and government employers usually qualify if you are a W-2 employee of that entity; the dollar value depends on your loans and repayment plan.

Questions
What does the offer calculator include?
State income tax (single filer, Tax Foundation brackets, before deductions), regional price parity from BEA, pre-tax cash over 5 years (base, expected bonus, sign-on), whether the employer is flagged as likely PSLF-eligible, and the GI market around each job. Federal tax is left out because it is the same for the same income in every state.
Is anything I type saved or sent?
No. The calculator runs in your browser. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to share an offer anonymously on the salary page.
