Position Overview

Madera Community Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our expanding medical staff. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care in a collaborative, community-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering evidence-based digestive care while supporting program growth, procedural access, and quality initiatives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, including inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic services
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, and related interventions)
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal and liver conditions
  • Collaborate closely with hospitalists, surgeons, primary care providers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in call coverage as required
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation


Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ABIM)
  • Active California medical license or eligibility
  • Strong commitment to mission-driven, community-focused care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
