The Department of Transplant at Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a highly qualified transplant hepatologist to join our expanding practice in a multidisciplinary program incorporating hepatology and liver transplantation. Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Transplant Hepatology and have an interest in clinical service, research and education. The Mayo Clinic Florida Department of Transplant provides some of the most comprehensive, innovative and compassionate transplant medicine anywhere in the world. The Department of Transplant performed 176 liver transplants in 2023. The Transplant Programs across the three Mayo Clinic sites in Florida, Arizona and Minnesota are known for their leadership in cutting edge transplant research, multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, post-graduate education, innovative approaches to patient care, and collaboration.
The successful candidate will have completed training in Gastroenterology with further specific training in Transplant Hepatology. Research engagement in diverse areas is also highly sought after; such as clinical trials, utilization of artificial intelligence or big data, equitable care or any other research program related to transplant hepatology. Educational engagement includes teaching and mentoring medical students through fellows. There are unique opportunities to grow clinical medicine and research utilizing the Mayo Clinic Model of Care and have the opportunity to practice in one of the largest liver transplant programs nationwide.
